The Shreveport teens from at least two families drowned in the Red River after they were playing in shallow water then stepped off a ledge into an 18-foot sinkhole.

Six teens drowned in Shreveport, LA, Monday afternoon. The ages of the teenagers ranged from 13 to 18..

I can understand how teenagers would be careless about going into the water, knowing they can’t swim. I’m having a hard time understanding why the adults allowed this. Water safety is an important issue for me

. In order to prevent tragedies like this, I urge everyone to take swimming lessons

Accidents happen
. If you are an adult, please do not allow children that do not know how to swim, play in the water
